“Cimba” is the boats original name. She was built in Perth in 1951 by a 17 year old carpenters apprentice and has been on the Swan River ever since. I have owned her for 15 years. The refurbishment was completed by a professional shipwright. The boat is perfectly usable as is. The fitout is functional but basic. There are 2 bunks, a chart table, and a workable galley area.
As you can see from the photo portholes have not been installed. There is no sliding hatch. The 8HP Volvo engine has been very reliable.
Sails: The mainsail is less than 2 years old. The No.1 jib is in good condition and the No2 jib is near new.
